Transperth

Transperth is the brand name of the public transport system servicing Perth, the state capital of Western Australia. It is operated by the Public Transport Authority.

In August 1958, the Metropolitan Transport Trust commenced operations with the take over of Beam Transport and Metro Buses by the Government of Western Australia. Subsequently all private bus operators in Perth were acquired.〔(MTT - Acquired from Other Operators ) Western Australian Fleet Lists〕
In August 1986, the Metropolitan Transport Trust was rebranded as Transperth.
